As a teenager, I attended the annual Statewide German Competition in San Antonio, TX, competing in various fields such as sight-reading, writing, comprehension, and conversation. I scored in the 90th percentile on the National Exam for three consecutive years; in 2011, I received the highest score in the state of Texas. In 2010, I was able to travel to Schwaebisch Hall, Germany, for a six-month study abroad program, where I lived with a German family and attended school to achieve an immersive experience. A Little Bit About Me...

As a law school graduate, I am well trained in writing and communication skills. While in law school I was awarded a position on the legal journal of Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine. My duties as a member of the executive board were to manage the staff and tutor the other editors in writing skills as they developed articles worthy of publication in the journal.
