Writing is one of my top subjects! As a graduate creative writing major, I know at least the basic tenets of writing. Writing is the act of carefully considering one's words, only on paper and with the advantage of having time to pick them out compared to speaking. Grammar, logical sentences, and communicating ideas efficiently are what I can help you learn, with emphasis on how you can do so with modern technologies. I'm a recent college graduate from NC State, with a degree in Creative Writing. Once I have an understanding of what a student is capable of I like to push them to go past their "comfort zone" in learning. It helps them understand that what may look difficult, may not always be so and that they only way to find out is to learn it. Also, I do not teach study habits. Instead I like to see what a students current habits are and work on expanding those habits so that the child does not get frustrated and overwhelmed. It is easier to learn more from current knowledge than try to teach a whole new way. After all, most students study habits are based on how their teacher has taught them, and I wouldn't go against what the teacher has taught.
