Reading is one of my top subjects! I love reading. I'm a very avid reader and tend to be able to finish a 500 page novel in less than a day if I'm passionate about the reading material. My boyfriend also has dyslexia when it comes to reading and I helped him conquer his fear of reading and he's improved in his reading abilities a lot.

I believe we can only help those who wish to help themselves. My teaching style is pretty straight forward - to make the child/teenager want to learn. Make the subject matter interesting to them and approach it from their perspective. If you motivate them to make the effort the rest will happen naturally.
I graduated from Washington High in 2006 with my High School Diploma. From there I went to Worwic Community College part time while working full time to pursue an Associates of the Arts in General Studies. This degree was completed in 2010. A Little Bit About Me...

I am presently working as a high school instructional assistant and have been since 2008. For the past two summers, I have also had the opportunity to work for the summer school program, assisting students in the algebra classroom. I had my first full year teaching experience as a seventh grade special education teacher, during the 2007-2008 school year. While at Salisbury University, I studied Environmental Issues and firmly believe in the theory I learned that education in the beginning for everything. I have always loved learning, and as a result, I also pursued a minor in Chemistry, for the sheer love of science. Immediately after college, I spent the summer teaching riding lessons at a camp in Colorado.
