English Language Tutor! Any first languages taught!

I've been an informal tutor for as long as I can remember. I've tutored my peers and my juniors in English grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing, composition, essay, formal reports, reading comprehension, and anything else involved in English. I also have formally studied Japanese and tutored in that. Formally, I have worked as an ESL teacher for The Salvation Army. I've been both a classroom teacher and a one-on-one teacher with my students.
It's all about you, the students. We all learn differently, so I like to tailor my style to the person I'm teaching. Let me know what you want to learn, and I'll work with you to get the best result. The only requirement I have is that I want you to care. If you come to me, you have to work. I'm not a ogre, but I won't let you come to me and not try to learn.

I have a five year experience over which I learned different students' techniques of learning and understanding the curriculum. I started out doing nanny work in college. After graduating in 1998, I moved to Detroit, Michigan to pursue a career in language studies. A Little Bit About Me...

I have loved education and the process of learning since I was a child. Due to family issues, I dropped out at in the 9th grade but due to extensive reading most of my life on many subjects, and being gifted intellectually, thank God, I was enrolled in college at the age of 16. Due to my age, I lacked the discipline needed to succeed then so joined the Army at 18 and finished first in my class in their HS program. I continued going to college in the evenings an weekends until I completed my Master's degree, meanwhile raising 3 children and running a certified home daycare.
