My goal is to find the best way for an individual to learn.

I use all my training to match how a person learns.
I have worked with young people tutoring elementary and high school subjects as well as being a public school teacher for over 10 years. I have been a nanny for highly intelligent young people as well as those on the autism spectrum. My most recent success was with a 1st-2nt grader in reading and rebuilding self confidence.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a parent, I was able to finish my degree in 2003 and return back to college as an adult student. Being a parent as well as a teacher for five years, I saw that the experience of parenting firsthand before actually teaching in the classroom was very beneficial. I love the youth and the teens, and was hired as a Language Arts teacher for a junior high private school for the last five years. I taught English, writing skills, religion, and Literature. Because I was recently a graduate in 2003, I knew that the students needed to learn writing skills and therefore prepared them for for high school writing. I believe in teaching the whole student. I believe that learning can be fun and creative, which is why my approach to teaching often involves the use of visuals and hands on projects to reinforce subject matter.
