English Teacher with Excellent Experience!

The majority of my experience lies in classroom settings of 20-35 students. Although, I thoroughly enjoy one-on-one teaching as well. The first step in developing a teaching style for a specific student is to assess their needs and their learning styles. From that, tutoring can be tailored to each students specific needs.
I initially got my start as an English tutor for refugees in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area in 2002. I then moved to China where I worked as an English teacher in for eight years returning to the US in 2011. My experience in teaching began as a UPS manager in 2007, when I was in charge of training new employees in UPS processes. In 2008, I enhanced my capabilities with an English degree (3.98 GPA) and more teaching experience in the form of ESL tutoring for Korean students. Early in 2010, I began teaching pre-AP English at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, where I built curriculum around the subject as well as formed a key component of the school's Graduation Exam, Writing Assessment, and AP exam preparation. As a UPS manager/trainer, English teacher, and ESL tutor, I literally spend 78 hours a week teaching—43 of those hours specifically English or test-preparation based.
