A Little Bit About Me...

I like to make songs that children can learn from and I also like to make colorful diagrams and charts that make it more easier to read and remember.
I have done school tutoring and some tutoring with younger family memebers who are dyslexic and who have ADHD. I havent had any exsperince with people outside of school and family but I found out that my ways of learning are very helpful and I think I can provide them to children who need helpin any subject.

I graduated from Ronald Reagan High School with a 4.6 GPA in the second graduating class ('08), then went on the NC State University to study Engineering, where I jumped in between various Engineering programs for three years before simply deciding to take a break and truly figure out what I want to study. A Little Bit About Me...

I served four years of active duty in the United State Marine Corps. I have mentor and lead Marines on a daily basis to ensure their safety and well being. Teaching them their job skills and ensuring that each individual conduct themselves as a Marine. I have acquired electronics/electrical skills in troubleshooting and repairing. These skills required an extensive math knowledge. While serving in the Marine Corps, I worked on my BS in Electronic System Technology and completed this degree in December of 2009.
I enjoy teaching and mentoring children to adults. I feel a sense of accomplishment when the individual have benefited from my help. I am patient, and considerate. I approach each individuals with the goal of providing them with the best of my abilities for them to learn and succeed.

I enjoy tutoring a great deal because you can help the students gain confidence in themselves to do better with hard work and discpline. Everyone learns different and I try to find the best way to incorpate all styles of learning into my tutoring, so everyone is learning. I like to get the students involved in the learning by them showing they understand by examples and activities. I want them to know and understand the lesson I am teaching.
As a student who was assisted by tutoring, I would be glad to help other students achieve excellence in their studies and gain confidence in themselves. I have been a tutor since I was in a freshmen in high school. I have tutored students in English and reading skills. I tutored a group of sixth graders, who approved their state academic scores. It was a great joy for them to see they could do it.

The first thing that I try to do is get to know my client, mainly focusing on what they both like and dislike about school. Then we narrow it down even further to the subject that they are having problems in. I ask them what they think the problem is, find out what the school/teacher thinks the problem is (through review of their coursework including past homework and tests) and come up with a solution that will benefit the student, teacher, and parent to improve and fix the situation.
I recently relocated to the Huntersville area. I recently graduated from UNCW with a degreee in Psychology with a focus on children. Since middle school, working with children has been my passion.
