I have been tutoring since I was in high school. Between that and teaching Sunday School and Children's Church, I have more than ten years of experience. I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. I show students how to break down the problem in various ways to help them better understand it. I'm passionate about what I do because I've been through classes in subject matter that I struggled in or was disinterested in and I want to be able to help others feel more comfortable in math where they might be weak or unsure. I also realize that sometimes the issue is motivational not a matter of comprehension.
