Being that I am a visual learning I try to work in steps showing them what is expected and them I allow them to slowly work it out themselves based off of what I've done. A Little Bit About Me...

As a special education major and history minor, I have learned so much about helping children succeed. I am currently working toward my bachelors degree at Brenau University. This has enabled me to do various field experiences and an internship that deals with children of various ages. I have worked with all subjects from grades K-12. I have a social studies concentration with my major.

The majority of my work experience has been with young children. I believe that each pupil is unique and it is most important to discover what learning style(s) work best for them. I prefer a constructivist approach in where the learning takes place side by side and with as much "hands on" opportunities as possible. I have changed my major a few times from Music therapy, to music, to music education, then finally I just decided that I just wanted to do education. I started studying Early Childhood Education, because I love children, I love teaching them, and I have plenty of patients for them. I have been tutoring at the middle school for 2 years now.
