For example, I like to break down scientific terms by their roots. In doing so, my students not only remember what the terms mean for that class but can also apply that knowledge in future class work. I worked as a tutor coordinator for the YMCA tutoring children from the ages of 12-16. I helped them in basic studies to ensure that they had a grade of a C or better. My goal is to open up an after school program so that I can help students who may need tutoring after school get the grades that they need to pass on to the next level. Working with children is one of my passions and I hope that one day I can help them more, especially to succeed in school.

I, myself have an 8 year old son who has been diagnosed with ADHD and a mood disorder. I know how extremely hard it is for parents during homework time. I have been working in the social work field for over 5 years. I also worked for Memphis City Schools for two years in various capacities. I have tutored students in various subjects.
