A Little Bit About Me...

I am a current international (korean), sophomore Economics major student at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. I have taught students since I was in high school. I have several tutoring experiences from volunteering at Churches in the DC metropolitan area to private 1 on 1 tutoring. I enjoy teaching a lot, and I really love it when students come to me with happy faces after doing well on their tests. I am able to teach different subjects, but my strongest area is math, especially algebra. I also like to teach English (2310 on SAT - 730 Reading, 780 Writing, 800 Math). I love teaching high school students and I realize that each student learns in a different style. While some find it easy to learn in the classroom setting, many need individual attention which is where tutors come in. Teachers simply cannot give each student the individual attention that they might need. Also, teachers need to be hands on in their delivery. Too many teachers simply lecture, which I have found very few students that effective learn by having a lecturing teacher.
During Grad School I tutored high school math and science students as well as college freshman in Chemistry. After Grad School I have worked as a youth pastor and during this time i have tutored numerous students from my youth group in mathematics and science as well.
