The key to teaching any age of student is the ability of the teacher or tutor to recognize the students level of need and their adherence to a study regiment. I would seek to emulate the university style of lecture and assigning hands on projects. I believe this is the most effective model since it provides repetition, allowing the student to better memorize the material.
