A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from USF with a B.A.'s in Anthropology. I also gained an immense knowledge in understanding and researching groups, as well as individuals, by participating in an Honors/Thesis program offered by the department of Anthropology. As such, I have acquired superb writing and grammatical skills. Additionally, I have played the viola, a classical string instrument, since the 6th grade. Being a well-rounded individual, I have also studied art while attending college, and enjoy creating my own arts and crafts frequently. Also, I speak and write some Spanish.
I am currently enrolled in an Educator Preparation Institute to obtain my certification to teach. I enjoy working with students on a one-to-one or small group basis. This is currently how I teach in the classroom. I have approximately 4-5 students in a harp class and privately I teach one-to-one. I enjoy getting to know students and find out what makes them tick. I especially enjoying working with elementary and middle school students.
I have 15 years experience as a private music teacher. I have taught flute, harp and piano to students from age 5 to adult. I have been a classroom teacher for 5 years. I recently finished the requirements to receive my teaching certification but have not filled for it yet (I plan to have it by the fall).
