When I teach reading, I convey my love of reading. When I teach math, I convey the logical beauty of math. When I teach other subjects, I stress the importance of the material and how it is relevant to everyday life. In Sunday school this week, we combined with another class, so there were people there who aren’t usually. Several of them thanked me and let me know how much they got out of it. My response is that I am a teacher. It’s who I am and what I do.
I was a corporate trainer for 3 years, followed by 12 years serving as a software instructor. I earned my BS in Chemistry with a GPA 3.57. I then took the GRE and ACS entrance exams for graduate school, I passed all four division with 20-60 percentile of the national avg. During my undergraduate education I was a tutor and earned level one training certification. In graduate school I instructed lab courses and tutored in a learning center several days a week. I am well experienced and qualified for tutoring any undergraduate and lower level chemistry courses; I have earned several A's and B's at the graduate level.
