I tutored at the Hartnell College Math Lab in topics ranging from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. I also tutored/mentored recent high school graduates and motivated them to pursue careers in math and science. After having both tutored and taught in the classroom, I find tutoring to be more enjoyable. Since each student learns in a different way it is much easier to teach them one-on-one than a whole classroom full. I’ve always enjoyed watching their faces light up when they figure out a problem for the first time.
