With my Bachelor's degree, I began tutoring through Reading Success and conducted private tutoring of Georgia History. I progressed to teaching English, Spanish, and some Special Education Resource classes at the High School level, and continued to teach lower level English classes at a local college along with reading in an Adult Continuing Education program through another college. My writing skills have been sharpened as I edited and wrote articles for newsletters, newspaper releases, and in an administrative capacity. Most of my professional teaching experience was with Lexington/Richland School District 5, where I substituted and taught General Music from 1997-2008. During that time I worked with students from Pre-K - 5th grade, and I enjoyed interacting with each age group.
