A Little Bit About Me...

As an Elementary Education graduate, I am very eager to tutor young students. I have tutored students in a program called America Reads and I have been teacher assistants for many schools in Norfolk, Virginia. I love children and I also have worked in day cares as well. I am currently a Graduate student in Old Dominion University for Elementary Education. I look forward to working with you all.
I am a strong advocate in positive and affective discipline. In my classroom I will challenge the students to work to the best of their abilities. I will encourage cooperation in the classroom as well as respect towards everyone. I will observe the students' abilities and improvements and will asses their knowledge daily. I graduated from Union College in June of 2008 with a BS in Biology. Due to hard work and dedication, I received my BS in three years instead of four. I have been substitute teaching for almost a year for many different grade levels. As of recently, I have been tutoring students in mathematics.
