If you can ingite a desire to learn in students, I believe everything falls into place after that. I enjoy placing my student athletes into small groups to discuss for certain periods of time, and then I like to spend the rest of the time talking to them as a whole. I truly enjoy breaking down complicated concepts to students. I use a lot of real world examples that they can relate to, rather than abstract problems. I use a lot of repetition, as I think that the more you repeat a concept, the more one will familiarize oneself with it. Also, I redirect questions back to the student that asked the question (or other students). This helps them think through the question and methodically arrive at an answer, without my intervention. In addition, I always check for understanding, by asking follow up questions after we have solved a problem.
