Having a great thirst for knowledge, I was torn between Accounting or Engineering to major in, in college. Having a passion for numbers and electrical design, I chose electrical engineering, where I received a BS Degree in 1995. Still wanting to be involved in Accounting, I obtained my MBA degree in 2003 and a professional certification in Bookkeeping in 2009. During my undergraduate days, in a work study program, I tutored college students in Algebra to Calculus and Chemistry and Biology. Since acheiving my first accounting designation from the UK in 1991 I have taught accounting and Business Law to adults until 1998 when I migrated to the US. While here I was succesful in passing my CPA exams and I am now a member in good stabding with AICPA and Delaware Society of CPAs. I have been tutoring my relatives kids in math and science for over 4 years. One child is now in High School while 2 are in Middle School. Under my tutelage, the middle schoool kids have been able to make the honor roll whenever they put in practice what is taught. The usual success rate in making the honor roll is 70%.
My tutoring style depends on whether the child learns better with visual aids or by other means. I also assess their weaknesses and determine if it is caused by lack of comprehension,fear of the subject matter or a lack of preparation.

While teaching is not my main profession, I enjoy teaching because in most cases, I was able to build a level of confidence in my students. Often times I found that some people simply have a phobia about certain subjects. Once I am able to remove that by engaging the student to understand and think through a question, they are able to gain confidence and build on that.
I have about two years experience as teacher. I taught for a brief period of time in 1977 when I taught Chemistry and Biology at a high school in Lagos Nigeria.
