Learn while having fun. My methods achieve results.

Held Study 2 hour sessions with over 10 students 3-5 times per week in Engineering Schools. Classes included: Calculus 1 & 2, Statics and Dynamics. Also did indivdual sessions. Was highly recommended and considered the best tutoror i Engineering. Have been a financial adivisor so I have held many seminars and had many face to face with clients teaching them about money. Have privately tutored friends and reletives for years. The result has always brought As.
Very relaxed fun. Making the student feel comfortable and letting them figure the solution out on their own with as little imput as possible. Sort of like spotting in weighlifting. I also focus on a holistic method which is about understanding the problem with as little memorization is possible. The idea is if you can understand the concept then it is very easy to apply the answer with very little modification.

I believe that students learn best in an environment that promotes encouragement and relational interaction with their tutors. While I believe in creating a stress free, fun environment, I believe in helping students set their own rigorous goals. I am skilled at helping students create plans that help them achieve the goals they have in their education. My style could be described as a combination of structured organization and stress free fun.
I have been teaching piano and bass guitar to students for almost 10 years. I am a 4.0 student who has mastered the ability to study efficiently. In 2010, I was awarded a teaching assistantship at the University of New Mexico where I was asked to teach 2 undergraduate classes in communication. However, I rejected this position as I accepted a Master's program at a different University, but underwent the training required for TA's at UNM.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a BS in Business (CIS) with a cumulative 3.4 GPA and membership in two National Honor Societies. Courses included Chemistry, many Social Studies classes, and calculus-based Chem Physics. Briefly I taught Science and Math at a private high school in Albuquerque and did well, but quit because of a medical problem with my leg. After active duty in the Navy, I earned 8 credit hours in English through the CLEP test, and didn't take Freshman English. I had always made straight 'A's in English, and had excellent grammar. My courses included Writing Poetry & Fiction, Shakespeare, Business Communications, and Technical Writing; also Latin, Spanish, and German (which increased my knowledge and awareness of grammatical structure)

I have received a degree in English and was a pre-law student. I owned a real estate company in 1990s. I was in the Navy (scored 95% on ASVAB) and worked in the field of intelligence. I acquired legal experience working within real estate and finance. I have an intricate knowledge of contract law, working knowledge of medical law - where it governs patient interaction, privacy, medical records and patient rights. Regarding teaching and tutoring experience, I taught as an adjunct professor in college algebra. My reviews while teaching were that I was "very knowledgeable". I am currently pre-med and retaking several science classes. I am comfortable tutoring first semester chemistry and physics. In addition, I am conversational in Spanish and had 1 yr in college.
