I have had 25 years teaching experience in the Texas public schools. I have taught mostly U.S. History in the middle schools but included in this was geography and the U.S. Constitution. I have also taught GED preparation to displaced workers in El Paso, TExas. Included in the GED was basic science and math. Before coming here, I was a supervisor for teaching interns at Angelo State University. My comments on tutoring Composition : I encourage and allow child to be very creative in their writing & learning

I received my degree in Early Childhood Development & Child Psychology in 1999. I tutored children from homeless shelters for 2 years. As I began helping & teaching my two daughters in every subject, and saw how well they were doing, I realized I could help so many other children. I then began teaching, tutoring & learning from pre-kinder to high school classes/students from that point to present. As for my daughters, one is a pre-med student in college & the other attends a health magnet. They encourage my teaching, telling me that I did a great job teaching & preparing them in their journeys to become successes in their futures. And I am happy to share that with others.

I'm a very visual and verbal person. I like to explain things by writing/drawing them out, saying them out loud and creating analogies between things to help students better understand a concept.
