During my studies at SUNY Buffalo I tutored in Regents Math which I also took when I was in high school. In Virginia Tech I was a Graduate Research Assistant. I ran Aerospace Engineering labs, assigning work to undergraduate students which I graded. I was available for multiple hours per week assisting students in their homework and lab reports. Since then I have been a math tutor in calculus. Engineering requires a solid understanding of math from the basics such as algebra and geometry to more difficult calculus and linear algebra. What I have learned in both mathematics and physics is used almost on a daily basis which is why I know the subjects so well.

I have taught Rudimental Percussion performance to individuals, high school bands and drum and bugle corps since 1969. I and my groups hold many state, one national and two World Championships. I graduated with a BS Chem. as the American Chemical Societies Senior of the year, with honors, from N.U.I subsequently worked for 15 years in Environmental Chemistry and for ten years in Industrial Analytical Chemistry where I developed several unique analytical methods that are currently in wide use.Although I have little experience in teaching science, my enthusiasm, understanding and previous musical teaching experiences will enable me to excel in this field.
