Let's start out by saying I am definitely not your average tutor! Fun is vital to motivation, and I live on the stuff! I have been teaching for over fifteen years in a variety of environments, working in inclusive environments with children aged birth to twelve. I am now in my second year as a Special Education Teacher at a private school in DC that specializes in working with children who have Learning and Emotional Disabilities. I hold my M.Ed.HD in Special Education from GWU and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I have greatly enjoyed my past few years of tutoring. I love being able to give other students the tools and the self-confidence they need in order to succeed. I am a very patient person and dedicate a lot of time into helping students understand the process of learning and studying in a way that will seem less stressful and easier for them to accomplish. I believe that as long as someone applies themselves to something, achievement is possible. I want to provide students with helpful educational strategies and a positive learning environment.
