Ready to love learning

I currently work as a substitute teacher at Riverside Military Academy. I've worked with elementary children and teenagers extensively. My most recent position serves twenty and thirty somethings in their personal and spiritual formation. I have published my writing, acted on stage, spoken before thousands and mentored dozens. My personal intent is to explore life, discover new things, tackle hard challenges and inspire others to do the same. I believe in the value of the individual and don't believe one-size-fits-all.
Adaptive. I have a background in experiential education and believe that the method is not as important as the end result of having assimilated, understood, and taught back the information. I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders. I attempt to make learning as fun and relevant to the child as possible as every child has varying levels of understanding and concentrations. I am extremely patient and can handle anything. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Wesleyan University in 2008. I earned a 3.64 GPA and was a college basketball player and member of the cross-country team. I tutored my teammates in English, Algebra, and Speech. I made 4.0 grades in most of my English classes. I wrote countless research papers and essays. I also completed one semester of law school at the University of South Carolina in 2009. I was also a volunteer Guardian ad litem for Pickens County from June 2008 until January 2010. I mentored 7 children during that time period.
