After High School, I taught Sunday School at the small church I attended. I was co-teacher with an older gentleman, and the students were 12-15 years old. When my wife and I lived in Seymour (2002-2004), we often helped our nephews with their math homework or class Science projects. I loved explaining the basics, the steps required as we conducted the experiments and documented results in a logical, orderly progression of events. Our oldest nephew struggled with Algebra and geometric reasoning. When in Seymour, I could teach him one-on-one, and especially enjoyed using sketches to drive home geometrical concepts. 1) I like to help the student define our goal: "What is it we are trying to achieve?" 2) "How do we get there?"
