I graduated from the University of Oregon Honors Business Program with a B.A in Accounting and Economics in 2007 with a 3.8 GPA along with earning Magna Cum Laude recognition at graduation. I have completed my CPA exam and currently being certified for the State of Oregon. My prior career experience in Accounting includes an internship and a career with two Big 4 Public Accounting Firms: KPMG as an internal audit intern in San Jose, Ca as well as an associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Portland, OR. Education has been a major focus of my life since I was in middle school and decided I wanted to be a teacher. In middle school and high school I worked one-on-one tutoring peers and younger children in all subjects. Throughout college I tutored in an after-school program and worked in an elementary school as an instructional assistant.
