My greatest joy in life is teaching children and opening their eyes to all of the things they are capable of doing and learning. I am a true believer that learning is one the most rewarding and exciting aspects of an education. Being a peer tutor and having other leadership positions, I am aware that people are individuals and therefore will have diverse learning styles. Through my rigorous studying for enterance into medical school, I realize that the most effective way to determine if a student is truly comprehending a concept is to get them to "teach" or explain the concept back to the instructor. If a tutee can properly explain the lesson that was taught, then it is a clear indication the student understands. I have recently earned a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies and graduated Summa Cum Laude, which is the highest of academic honors. In order to obtain my degree, I was required to take several courses in a very broad area of study including writing, literature, reading, mathematics, history, and sciences. I have an extensive background in English courses, including knowledge of several research and writing styles. My tutoring experience mainly includes English and writing work, but I also have experience with tutoring some math classes and history.
