High School Math Teacher seeking students to tutor!

I graduated from Marquette University in January of 2015 with degrees in Math and Secondary Education. I am currently teaching math in the Waukesha School District, and next school year I will be working at a Milwaukee Public High School. Algebra II is one of my top subjects!

I believe the best way for students to learn is by doing and discovering the material hands on as oppose to being lectured to. I like to instruct demonstrate the learning material to my students intially, but after that i prefer to have my students try the material themselves so they can see and understand what aspects of the material they dont understand. That helps me pinpoint what i need to focus on as far as helping them with a particular area of miscomprehension. I strongly believe in learning by doing instead of learning by seeing. First I like to try to ask them where they are having trouble or watch them do some problems to see where they are having troubles. Where I find the problem I would show them the correct ways to approach a problem and prove it to them or use other methods to help them understand how the concepts work. I'm a good listener and very patient with students.
