I teach to the student. That is I get involved with teaching to each student's learning style. It is important to offer a variety of teaching techniques and methods and provide motivation for each student. One on one teaching provides each student with the opportunity to reach his/her potential.
I had always wanted to be a teacher. I taught for 13 years in the Mobile County Public School System at one school. I then took time off to raise my children. I worked for 12 years at St. Luke's Episcopal School teaching English and History. My next assignment was with Cottage Hill Christian Academy for nine years. Coming from a family of educators, I knew from an early age that I would become a teacher myself; therefore, all the steps taken to prepare for my professional life have been to enable me to be the best teacher I can be.
