A Little Bit About Me...

I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.

A Little Bit About Me...

All of my teaching experience has been in a Sunday School setting. I understand that this is not in the school system, but I have had the oppertunity to learn to relate to children of various ages. My experience is principally in marine research. In such, I have taught at three universities. Most recently I have been giving scheduled seminars for several years. I am semi-retired. My science background is mult-disciplinary. I enjoy most teaching ecology (both marine and terrestrial), geology, biology, physics, and chemistry.
