Geography is one of my top subjects! Geography is an amazing subject. The tutoring education activities that can be created for Geography are amazing. When tutoring my students, I will look at their educational level and create a tutoring education based off of that.

I have been working with children for the past seven years. Four of those years have included homeschooling pre-school and pre-kindergarten as well as homework help and tutoring the children that I was babysitting. I love tutoring because it allows me to work one-on-one with my students. Tutoring, also, allows me the opportunity to create the ultimate tutoring experience based off of the students learning style and interest. I worked as a peer tutor in the Writing Center at the University of Delaware for 2 years. I worked on all phases of the writing process, from brainstorming to revisions and final drafts. I have also tutored first year college students in the social sciences, in particular in history and government.
As far as writing, the best approach depends on the phases. I have always acted as an instructor and guide. I help a student develop and process ideas. In the brainstorming phase, I may help a student generate ideas by suggesting different areas and working on "thought clouds." We may also do a "free write" and then discuss the ideas that were generated. During the writing process I help guide students in the development of outlines and structure. Truthfully, there is no best strategy. The techniques depend on the students needs and learning styles.

After graduating from Susquehanna University in 1993, I began substitute teaching for my former elementary school in Lincroft, NJ. I then took a full-time preschool teaching position for one year. During that time, I also tutored a first-grader weekly in math and language arts for a span of approximately nine months.
