Part of my job responsibilities were to develop and coach new staff while on the job. I have 20+ years of real world business IT experience. Most of that was programming on IBM iSeries/AS400 mini computers in RPG or COBOL. The last 6 or 7 years has been devoted to learning HTML & PHP in my spare time. The languages aren't important, what is key is learning to break complex tasks down into smaller chunks and think logically about how to link all these smaller tasks into a program to accomplish the overall goal. I'm a very laid back casual sort of fellow that likes to make someone think about how to solve problems efficiently.
