I have taken college algebra, trigonometry, statistics, and quantitative reasoning. My final grades were A, A, B+, and A, respectively. I have also taken English 101 and 102 and received an A in both classes. I am very skilled in math and English, and I am also a musician (guitar, piano, and vocals) with knowledge of music theory and history. My comments on tutoring Guitar : I have played guitar for 9 years. I am self-taught, and routinely perform around town singing and accompanying myself.

I am a natural teacher - it's what I do when I'm not getting paid. I just like to share knowledge of what, why, when, where, and how. I like the process of learning, and it is a privilege to get to witness, or even positively influence, that process in someone else. I have been paid for my teaching skills for the past 9 years, in various settings, including piano instruction, guitar instruction, tutoring at the Community College in Chemistry, Biology, and Microbiology, as well as assist teaching for the Decatur Public School District. I believe that all people fall short of their maximum potential. Finding the right motivation for people is a gift that I have. This is, however, no guarantee of success when dealing with the individual mind, but it does improve the circumstances. I can motivate, but I cannot do the work for a student, thus personal responsibility is a must for success. I write in a very concise and efficient manner.
