Hello! I graduated from the College of St. Catherine and Macalester College (Major course work completed and studied at Macalester College), two selective colleges within the small private college system in the Twin Cities area. I not only experienced varying styles of education, but I also obtained a high quality education that is applicable to many settings, points of view, interpersonal and cultural dynamics and personalities. I obtained a degree in Theater Arts and Dance where I studied dramatic literature that combined theoretical perspectives with practical applications where my main focus consisted of script analysis and historical research pertaining to dramatic literature. I greatly enjoy teaching children at all levels. Through a variety of approaches and encouraging persistence, I believe children can gain knowledge of and proficiency in all subjects. A multi-disciplinary approach ensures a child's growth has both depth and breadth. I aim to teach in a way that develops the intellect and cultivates the character of my students so that they become critical and virtuous members of and contributors to society.
I became interested in tutoring during my three years of graduate study at Princeton Theological Seminary. Studying theology in my undergraduate and graduate work required me to invest strongly in multiple subjects such as history, philosophy, languages, politics and literature. This equipped me to tutor multiple subjects at various levels.
