Spelling is one of my top subjects! Very skillful about spelling.

I like a conversational, relaxed style in which the students are encouraged to speak English as much as possible. I often have students repeating useful, whole sentences and phrases.Mistakes are okay! Humor is okay! Questions are encouraged.
I am a very experienced teacher of English as a Second Language (ESL). I served for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Afghanistan and the Fiji Islands. My comments on tutoring Spelling : I have fun games to help in this area.

I have taught for seven years in various levels of special Ed. I have also worked in 5th grade for two years and two years in kindergarten.I have wanted to work as a teacher since I was young playing school with my brothers. I want to help shape the minds of our future leaders. I believe that I am the best teacher around because I think about the child's needs first before my opinion on what should be taught.

My missionary experiences informed me of one idea: people are important and they have to be considered person-by-person. Those experiences have led me to take a teaching philosophy and teaching practice that is person-centric. I work to understand the rhetorics, theories, practices, and experiences that inform each student and the classroom as a whole. Whether it is in front of a class of 40 or one-on-one, I have been endowed not only with the talent to teach, but also with the God-given ability to motivate.
