A Little Bit About Me...

As a father of three, I love to teach through example. As much as possible, I love to use practical illustrations to emphasize points and to give the child/student a better understanding of its application. I feel very strongly that every child has the ability to learn when they are given the right encouragement. While working on my Japanese minor I quickly discovered that finding a method that works for an individual student is the most important part of studying productively. I feel that my fresh, creative outlook will supplement the classroom experience well and offer alternative methods to learning that may not be available at your child's school.
While I have not tutored academically in the past, I have taught my community's equivalent of the DARE program to fourth grade classes for two years and have also taught art lessons to children of all ages.

I love working with children and teaching them new things. I have worked with many children of all ages in different areas from math, english, and history and helped them be successful. I believe it is important for children to learn and understand what they are studying to be successful.
While I was working on my Bachelors degree I worked at the college as an accountant. I turtored fellow classmates on subjects they were having problems with and I also tutored children in grade school who needed assistance. I am very good with math, english, public speaking and history.
