Teaching has been a desire of mine since I taught math at a local high school for two years. I am a firm believer in giving accurate, detailed information and being prepared for any questions that someone may have. I don't expect everyone to learn at the same pace, and I make sure that I provide various methods to solving certain problems. I believe that anything is possible, even learning Math.
I have a passion for learning as well as sharing my knowledge with others. I obtained a BA in Mathematics and am currently working on MAT in Mathematics. While in college I was part of a tutoring/mentoring program and helped my peers with math. As a McGill University graduate, I was very driven to excel in my science based courses. I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Chemistry which has enabled me to gain a thorough understanding in many areas of math and science. For the past few years I have enjoyed spending my time tutoring youth and young adults in basic science, mathematics and in the French language, and teaching adults the English language. I obtained a bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Alabama. But more importantly, i was deeply involved with cutting-edge scientific research throughout my undergraduate experience. In essence, I didn't just study to pass my exams, I studied to understand the material so that I can be able to teach someone else. I have also tutored introductory physics I and II at the university of Alabama center for Teaching and Learning. At first, I started out as a "typical" tutor - and had one-on-one tutoring sessions with college students. The session lasted about one hour per student. As time progressed though, i was assigned a classroom with up to 20 physics students at a time.
