I am currently working on a Master's degree, and recently received my TESOL certificate (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). So if you have any issues with English as a second language, I can help with that, as well as any types of writing (I've worked as a writer and editor in several different fields). I am not a professional teacher, but I played one in newsrooms at several newspapers. During a span of 20 years as reporter, sports writer, copy editor, section editor and editor-in-chief, I trained many new hires -- and even a few veterans -- in spelling, grammar, punctuation, comprehension of written material and in writing. I did not take graduate classes, but I did take the Graduate Record Exam. I scored in the upper 15% in both Verbal and Essay. I do not consider myself a classically trained scholar or academic.
