Gifted math tutor wants to help your student enjoy math!

I have a gift for working with students who struggle. I know where they are going to trip up and I am prepared to answer the questions that they do not even know they will have! I know at least 3 or 4 different ways to explain different concepts so if your student does not understand one way, I have another way. I like to use manipulatives, worksheets, and other supplements when time permits. As a graduate of both Purdue University and the University of Kansas, I place a premium of education in my own life. In my view, education is never wasted and helps people to understand various facets of the world we live. As an undergraduate at Purdue, I tutored other undergraduates with college algebra during my last year. I found these students benefitted greatly from my tutoring. I have a BS in Physics for the City College of the City of New York, with a strong minor in mathematics. I have been in programming for over thirty years. I had not used my mathematical knowledge in many years, but when my grand daughter was having problems in Algebra I helped her. I helped with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and trigonometry.
