I believe that a child has to genuinely want to learn if they are to succeed, and the key is getting them excited about the topic, to make them see how it is relevant to them and their education. A teacher that can show a passion for their subject to a student will undoubtedly sew a seed of curiosity into the student. As the first in my family to go to college, I had a high drive to achieve my goals of obtaining my degree at Grand Valley State University, as well as studying abroad in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to my wide degree of historical knowledge, I also served as an independent English Conversation tutor in Tokyo, Japan while I studied at the International Christian University.
