Over the past three years, I have tutored several students in mathematics, biology, and biochemistry at the Academic Support Unit of the Multicultural Life Center at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. I guided their development of individual note-taking strategies, study habits, and problem solving skills. I chose to tutor mathematics and biology in order to enhance my interpersonal, people management and critical thinking skills. In my office hours, I would tutor students individually on the areas in which they had difficulty. My teaching style is sculpted to fit each individual student. Sometimes students would benefit from me working through each mathematical question on the board and working through them step by step.
