I will graduate in May from Bob Jones University with a degree in Spanish Education. I have a sincere passion for the Spanish language. This is my 8th year being involved with Spanish. My teaching style varies by person, because not everyone learns the same way. I adapt my teaching style to the learning style of the person.
I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I am willing to teach in a library, in the student's home, on-line, or in another area that is agreed upon by both myself and the parent. I am open to group sessions, this would require me booking a meeting room in a library, or another location. In the summer of 2013 I worked at Lanier Technical College/ University of North Georgia as a ESOL Assistant Instructor. My main goal is not to tell a student they are wrong, but to tell them how they can make the answer correct. Being that my mother is a teacher, I have picked up many of her techniques while tutoring in the peer tutoring program at my college. I believe that it helps a student more if they can be taught by someone who has a similar background to them and are similar in age. I can provide them with an easy way to learn biological concepts just as I've learned while I am in college.
As a senior at Benedict College obtaining my B.S. in Biology, I have gained a better understanding of the study of biology as well as other science-related subjects and math.
