I believe in meeting students at their level of need, and mastering the skills needed in order to move onto higher level skills. I believe in teaching students how to develop their critical thinking skills, and teaching them the concepts needed to succeed in school and life.
I have my degree in Elementary Education. I have had experience teaching large class sizes, but I have also spent a lot of time in small group reading instruction, and I have worked in small group math. Teaching is an exciting profession for me. I believe all kids including the most intellectually disabled can learn. I believe in setting high but realistic goals for students. Learning starts before children enter school and should be integrated between home and school. I am a firm believer in laying strong foundations in the lower grades, and building upon this as the child develops.
