I have worked with young people tutoring elementary and high school subjects as well as being a public school teacher for over 10 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I spent one year tutoring accounting students who had difficulty grasping the basic concepts of accounting. I was able to explain the accounting concepts in different wording than the text books and I also created a "cheat" sheet to help them understand how to handle different accounting transactions. The students I tutored always improved their grades dramatically and quickly. This gave me immense satisfaction! I always strive to make a difference in students' lives.
I graduated from California State University at San Francisco. While there I mastered my major of accounting as well as my minor in economics. I have over ten years' experience in all facets of accounting, audit and taxation. I have always been an exceptional mathematics student and my chosen field has enabled me to remain very strong in this area.

A Little Bit About Me...

I volunteered for the Special Olympics and for the D.A.R.E program from Elementary students back in 2003 and 2008. With the Special Olympics, I helped cook and serve food to the contestants in the olympics and I also was there to be a friendly and supportive coach-assistant to the athletes. With the D.A.R.E program, I went to Elementary schools in the town of Faribault MN, and I worked along side with the police department to show and educate kids the dangers of meeting strangers and how to handle that type of situation.
I don't have a wide teaching experience but I do enjoy working and helping Elementary or junior high leveled children. Ay my most recent job, I worked in a dept called 'PLAYLAND" where I was responsible for taking care and keeping the children of our customers entertained and busy as their parent's shopped for groceries. My Bachelor of Science in Biology degree was earned at Pennsylvania State University, and I accumulated 124 credit hours with some education courses. I have business professional skills in sales, administrative assisting, certified medical assisting, and customer service acquired through work experience and corporate training and seminars. I have just completed my 9th year of teaching in Spring 2009, in which I have mostly taught Mathematics as well as Language Arts, History, and Religion. My BS in Elementary Education along with my teaching minor in Math, has enabled me to gain an understanding of not only math, but also the average student as well; no matter what the age.
