I am convinced that for students to succeed in their education and in life they must have a firm foundation in reading and writing. Without mastering these basics it is nearly impossible for them to move on to a higher learning level. It is my desire to not just improve test scores, but to inculcate a passion for literature, reading and history. A Little Bit About Me...

My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like. I have since felt that teaching math and science is a career I want to pursue.
I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. Knowing what it is like to be a student, I try to see from the students point of view. Each student teaches me their own way to learn. I enjoy learning and hope that I can share that joy with others.

I have a BS from LeTourneau University in Business Management, and have more 48 college hours in Science, English and History. I have been accepted in an Alternative Path to Certification program with A+ Texas Teachers. I have completed the 80 hours training required by Texas and passed the NCLB tests: TExES Science 116 (4 -8), TExES Special Education 161 (EC-12), and the Arizona Biology 07 (9-12). My classroom experience was acquired during 3 1/2 years of teaching science in a high risk high school in Phoenix, AZ. At the school I help enrich the science department with movies, flash cards, outside actives, and plays. I tutored reading, and writing for the state of Arizona.
