I have been a bookkeeper for 25 years. Have been using quickbooks. I have prepared income taxes for businesses. I also have prepared forms for truck drivers quarterly reports, tags and 2290's. Have been an office manager for the past 10 years. I have lived in the Dumas area since 1975 and have no plans to move.

AVID run through, preferred to show tutorees the way of studying and will help with homework but won't give answers unless tutoree is going along the right path. Year of 2011-2012 performed as a student tutor for Amarillo College for chemistry and physics, along with being a private tutor for chemistry for a total of 75 hours on the spring semester of college. I have been tutoring since the year 2008 and plan on to keep on tutoring until i graduate from college. During spring semester of 2012 I attended an AVID tutoring session where i learned modern tutoring methods and will enact them all to further the tutoree's knowledge.

I adapt individual tutoring techniques to each student’s specific needs and learning style. I teach study skills that students can use the rest of their academic career. I am patient, caring and supportive to each student. I am available for home work emergencies and pretest studies. I prefer to work with student and parents as a team with open communications. While attending college I tutored fellow students in Literature, History and Political Science. I was able to help failing students achieve a minimum of passing grades while some excelled to A’s in their class. I raised six children and not only did I spend many hours helping my own children with their home work I also helped neighbor children complete theirs as well.

I feel that seeing their homework, and developing a routine to working out difficult problems is necessary. Then explaining the theories behind them from their text book. I am patient and can adjust to many different levels of learners. Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineer along with a minor in Mathematics. Previous experience as a high school algebra teaching was helpful. Math tutor responsible for helping high school students with their studies in mathematics with preparation for the math portion of standardized test (TAXS, TASP)

Taught Honors Biology, Chemistry, Physics,Physical Science and the standard courses of Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physical Science and Introduction to Biology. I've had a keen interest in the sciences all of my life including medical. This interest allows me to explain subject information within a social context to help increase understanding of the information and were it applies to scocial knowleadge. Lecture, examples and practice...as a Science teacher I organized lab for the classes each week. Learning is a process were the student takes the information given to them and applies it to a future experience.
