Presently, I work as a teacher's assistant in special education. I earned a BA in English Literature from one of the finest private colleges in the Southeast. Maryville College encourages students to be life-long learners who seek cumulative growth through experiences. I am a published author and have organized and researched an original thesis paper. As a teacher's assistant, I work with learning disabled students in areas such as reading literacy and logical distinctions in meaning of symbols and signs in language. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught for the public school system in Memphis, TN for 17 years with 15 of those years in the same school. I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade and for 3 years I taught a second/third split class of exceptional students. I quit teaching for a short period because I adopted 2 children overseas. However, I worked part-time as a computer instructor for preschoolers for about 2 years. For the past 2 years, I have been trying to continue my career as a teacher, but have not been able to because of the economy. I have spent these 2 years, substituting, as an interim teacher, as an assistant, and tutoring for a company called A to Z.
