I like to approach tutoring on an individual basis. I like to learn what works best for each student and help them understand a subject in the way which best suits them. I believe that anyone is capable of learning anything if it is explained to them in the right way. We all have our unique styles of learning and processing new information, sometimes we just need to see things in a way which helps us see more clearly what is going on. After graduating with a mathematics undergraduate degree in 1998, I have continued to study all areas of mathematics for the last 12 years. I have passed numerous actuarial exams that cover advanced mathematic topics as well as becoming a charterholder in the CFA Institute in 2009. I would love the opportunity to pass on my enjoyment of mathematics to others. I tutored extensively during my college years and feel I have a lot to offer the students of today. I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I grew up as a teacher's son and now I am a teacher's husband so I have experience exploring different methods to help children learn. I believe I can pass on my education and experience to students and give them real world applications of the material they are studying. Everything starts out with passion. My passion is to help others when they are in need. When it comes to math and other subjects, I'm very capable. I graduated high school as a Salutorian and graduated college with a Magna Cum Laude. Everyone learns through seeing, demonstrations, examples, and practicing. If one demonstration or examples won't work, a second or third demonstration or example is needed and it may have to demonstrate differently. I'm very patient when it comes to teaching.
