I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. I am experienced in categories ranging from Biology to Accounting to baking. I won several Grand Champion awards in Indiana's Madison County 4-H program for Baking and Woodworking while I have A's in Chemistry, Accounting, Biology, Spanish, Calculus, and many many other subjects from Ball State University. My comments on tutoring Accounting : Basic Accounting and Cost Accounting. BS -Accounting/IU Bloomington. I have taught accounting at Indiana Wesleyan and Ivy Tech. I have several years experience in accounting with concentration in costing.

I have 4 years as an Adjunct Instructor-Accounting at Indiana Wesleyan University and Ivy Tech. I am very patient and encourage students don't think of Accounting as 'math'. Accounting is all about business principles. It is very important if a student does not understand a concept to ask questions and stay abreast of any homework. Keep in mind that Debit just means left-side of the T-account and Credit is always the right side. You have to learn what the 'normal' balance (the side the account increases on) is for each category and you'll be just fine!

As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.
I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working in commercial banking for the past two years. Through my every day work experience I deal with a lot of accounting and financial statement analysis and spreading. I also further my education in accounting by taking classes offered at Anderson University.
My teaching style is very casual. I enjoy building a strong relationship with the people I teach to allow them to be comfortable and not feel uneasy to ask questions if they do not understand something. I have been teaching children for almost ten years through volunteering. I am enjoy children and their ability to learn and grasp new concepts at such a quick pace.
