Most of my work experience was gain as a teacher’s aide.I work in a self contained classroom.I worked with students in small groups or individually.I would grade and enter grades for the teacher.I took students to Physical Education by myself.I organize and prepare the learning material for the week.I taught science and computer skills portion of the classroom.Each student gave a short PowerPoint on what they where learning in science during Parent Conference.First quarter of the year I was an Assistant Soccer Coach and the rest of the year in the After School Program working with elementary students as a tutor.On occasional I tutored high school students during my personal lunch period.

Although I have little teaching experience, I love working with all ages of people. I'm sure I would have a different approach to teaching/tutoring because I have not had any education classes or experience. I would offer a more business/economical outlook on mathmatical skills. I am a college graduate seeking employment. I graduated from Herkimer County Community College and SUNYIT in Utica. During that time I spent 3 years tutoring several levels of mathematics and intro to financial accounting for HCCC for 3 years. I went from a student tutor to a part-time tutor in my time there receiving a CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certificate for my work and a great amount of experience in that time. A Little Bit About Me...

I review the work with the student and explain the process. I encourage them to take notes and write things out. We talk through the assignment and I let them explain to me why they are doing what they are. If it isn't the correct answer to the problem, we review the material again and go over why it isn't correct. I try to give different ways and examples until I see that lightbulb go off letting me know that they understand. As a parent, I know the importance of being patient and understanding.
